60th FAMAS Awards 2012 Winners



“Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story” emerged as the big winner during this year’s Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards, held at the Manila Hotel in Manila City on Tuesday, September 25. 

The film won five awards, including best picture. Laguna governor Jeorge “ER” Ejercito won best actor for his role as Asiong Salonga in “Manila Kingpin.”

Kapamilya actresses Anne Curtis and Angelica Panganiban also received acting honors from the award-giving body. Anne was named best actress for her role in “No Other Woman” while Angelica got the best support actress award for “Segunda Mano.”
Meanwhile, the academy honored the late Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo and his exemplary life of service with the Posthumous Award.

Best Actor: Jeorge Estregan (“Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story”); 
Best Actress: Anne Curtis (“No Other Woman”); 
Best Supporting Actor: Baron Geisler ("Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story”);
Best Supporting Actress
: Angelica Panganiban  ("Segunda Mano");

Best Child Actress: Xyriel Manabat ("A Mother's Story");
Best Cinematography: Carlo Mendoza ("Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story”); and,
Best Editing: Jason Cahapay, Mirana Medina-Bhunjun and Ryan Orduña ("Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story").
