PSY Gangnam Style tops in Billboard Now No. 2

Psy made yet another breakthough, landing on no. 2 on Billboard′s main chart.

This is the highest record for a Korean singer on Billboard to date.

On September 27, Billboard reported in an article titled ′Gangnam Style Gallops to No. 2 on Hot 100′ that Gangnam Style had made it to no. 2 on Billboard′s main chart, the Hot 100 chart.

The article, along with photos of Psy performing this day, was posted on the main page of Billboard.

It added, ′Psy′s Gangnam Style, meanwhile, powered by buzz generated by its video in which the Korean rapper shows off his horse-imitating moves, rockets 11-2 on the Hot 100 and 4-1 on Digital Songs′, and ′At No. 2, Psy′s worldwide hit Gangnam Style roars toward the Hot 100′s top spot with the chart′s top Digital Gainer tag′.
The singer is in hot pursuit of Maroon 5, the band which has stayed on top of Hot 100 for two weeks in a row.
Psy is now no. 1 on Digital Songs, no. 9 on On-Demand Songs, no. 34 on Radio Songs and no. 19 on the Pop Songs radio airplay chart, ranks which let him start shooting toward the top spot in just three weeks since he made it into the chart. Just two weeks before, he entered the chart as no. 64, and shot up to no. 11 in the following week.

On September 25, Psy said in his press conference, "I′ve never thought of getting no. 1 on the Billboard, but if I do, I′ll perform Gangnam Style with my shirt off."

The day for him to keep his promise creeps closer (regardless of whether you want to see him keep his promise or not).
