Actress "Gina Lima", 23, who was known for her work with Vivamax, was found deceased inside her condominium unit in Barangay Katipunan, Quezon City, early yesterday morning.
According to initial investigation by La Loma Police Station 1, Ms. Lima's former partner, Ivan Cezar Ronquillo, 24, noticed she was unresponsive around 8:30 a.m. He transported her to Quezon City General Hospital, where she was declared dead-on-arrival.
The initial reported cause of death is "Cardio Respiratory Distress".
Ms. Lima and Ronquillo had been separated for three years, but he was visiting her at the condo recently. The news of her death has prompted an outpouring of sympathy for Ms. Lima, as well as comments from friends on social media alleging that the actress was frequently seen with bruises on her body. The investigation is ongoing.
